On your way to the National Home Funeral Alliance conference, give some thought to what you’ll add to the ‘Before I Die’ wall.
There’s no rules. Something small or huge, as long as it’s your deep desire.
Here’s what some folks have written on other walls:
Before I die…I want to
- grow old
- love recklessly…again
- feed an elephant
The Before I Die Wall is a global art project that invites people to contemplate death, reflect on their lives, and share their personal aspirations in public.
Artist Candy Chang created the first one on an abandoned house in New Orleans after someone she loved died. The idea spread, and today there are over 2,000 walls in 38 languages. People in over 70 countries including Iraq, China, Brazil, Kazakhstan, and South Africa have shared their wishes with the world.
Now there will be one where we are: in the countryside, at the beautiful Pearlstone Center, contemplating life and death in our way.
Register today for the National Home Funeral Alliance conference. September 22 – 24 near WA DC.
