Regional Home Funeral Networks

map of United StatesFind connection and support closer to you. Volunteer regional coordinators in 10 regions in the U.S, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands are ready to help support home funeral educators, death midwives, doulas, advocates and supporters. Within your geographical area they can help you to grow the home funeral movement with networks of information, resources and support. We invite you to email the contact person in your area and introduce yourself. Learn what workshops, trainings, speakers, legislative initiatives, and more is happening in your region.

This project is still in its beginning stages. Going forward we anticipate that each region will identify its own priorities and needs. On the national level we will continue to look for ways to support this grassroots effort. For more information contact Shannon Hodges, Regional Network Coordinator, NHFA board of directors.

We look forward to working with you!

Let’s grow this movement together!

At the October 2015 NHFA national conference in CA we embarked on a new project. At the conference regions met in breakout sessions which formed the nucleus of this project. From there individual NHFA members stepped forward to volunteer to be Regional Contacts. They have agreed to put their names and contact information on this webpage.

A group of these Contacts are meeting quarterly to share ideas and strategies.
