Wow! I met so many wonderful folks and feel so invigorated to continue reaching out to educate families about home funeral and green burial options. My biggest take-away: Our language needs to be more inclusive. Still searching for a better way to say "home funeral."

So many thanks to the planners for the inspiring and uplifting perspectives brought on a national level to the attendees.

I have had the opportunity to converse with several people and tried out the idea that Dr. Monica Williams-Murphy introduced of a 'grieving room' in a hospital emergency room area. The recognition of this is profound when watching facial expressions. One was a first responder who had had a woman die in the ambulance in the hospital entrance (yesterday)....this opened up another aspect of the need to talk and process death with this group of people...who are not trained to accept it as a possible outcome.

The movement is building momentum and NHFA is contributing towards the highest good and outcome. I'm grateful to be part of such an organization.
